I Am A Therianthrope
Someone asked me the other day what my definition of therianthropy is.
Whenever I hear this question, I am sure that I am about to be ridiculed and rejected. But then again, I usually think I’m about to be ridiculed and rejected, so I suppose that’s not relevant.
Firstly, there’s really no way to explain the way I feel when I’ve ‘shifted’. I am not thinking in English, my mind doesn’t form words like culture says it should. I don’t think about what I am, or what’s happened earlier, or what’s happening later. I think about whatsthatsmell or iseesomethingmoving. And nothing else really matte

The Wolves
Their enchanting voices
Cry to the crystal moon
As light of silver
Descends with grace
The pale river sparkles
Suddenly alive
It shivers uncontrollably
Chilled by their cries
Time is frozen
The moment slowly fades
The wolves prowl restlessly
Calling to each other
A song of wonder
Fills the air
None have heard it before
Though it is as ancient as the moon

Wolf Within
Watching from the shadows,
I see the world for what it truly is.
The pain, the suffering,
And even the malice that fills the void.
I don't understand how my human,
How my other half, can stand them.
With their selfish wants,
And their furless bodies,
It amazes me how he can walk among them,
And not quiver at their strangeness.
But maybe it's me who's strange…
The one who might not fit.
I hide in the fabric of his soul,
Forever watching the world,
And waiting for another who is just like us,
Another who can understand…
Though my time does get lonely,
I often enjoy giving my human things,
That remind him of what he truly is,

I know this is weird, and rather nonsensical. But, it does have a strange story behind it.
One night I had a dream where I saw all these little... creatures? fae? Anyways, they were wildly dancing in a circle, holding hands and spinning about. I knew exactly where I was in my yard, and just watched them. One asked me if I wanted to join in, but I declined. I've already heard too many stories about malicious fae that I was wary. Soon, I woke up.
After school, I decided to check out the place in my dream... And there was a ring of toadstools exactly where I had dreamed of seeing the fae...
Weird, huh?
I'm not sure if it's proof or just a coincidence, but in a world of Therians and Otherkin, who knows?
